Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer virtual options?

Virtual options are here, with more options coming soon! For courses that are held in-person if you are sick or unable to arrange being in-person for a session (life happens!), you are welcome to zoom-in.

Do you offer any payment plans?

Yes! If you’re signing up for the 200 Hour Intensive you can pay through 3x payments, 6x payments, or pay for each course individually due the day before each course start date.

What’s the max amount of time I can take to complete the 200 Hour Program?

We recommend you complete all the courses within 2 years to get your teaching certificate. Research and education is always advancing and we value high teaching standards, which is why we recommend this. We individually look at each student to determine if re-certification is needed in any courses to get your 200 Hour Certificate if it’s been past 2 years. Continuing Education is required by Yoga Alliance every 2 years, so this aligns with their standards.

Is there a final test to get your 200 Hour Certificate?

There isn’t a written test, but that being said there will be ways that you are tested in order to receive a pass or fail. We value high standards in teaching and will be using a set of indicators and looking for established competencies during your practicum.

What is the practicum for the 200 Hour Program?

The practicum includes 2.5 hours with Lead Yoga Trainer Sydney and 2.5 hours with Lead Functional Anatomy & Fitness Trainer Raf. You will lead 2x public classes and receive feedback. You’ll apprentice during an assessment performed by Raf, and also conduct your own assessment on another individual and receive feedback. You will be given a clear list of what our expectations are and what competencies we’ll be looking for during this practicum. We set you up to succeed.

Can I take a few courses and decide to enrol in the full 200 Hour Program at a later date?

Absolutely. We understand that people need to test drive the car before they buy it. You can choose to take any of our courses at any time and later decide that you’d like to enrol in the 200 Hour Program. You can go at your own pace to complete all the courses, but we recommend you take no longer than 2 years if you plan on receiving your 200 Hour designation. If the timeline extends beyond 2 years, we may require you to re-certify in some of the courses in order to stay up to date with the latest research and information.

Is there a specific order to complete the courses in?

There is no specific order that’s required, but if you want a recommendation on the order, take a look at our page “All Courses” and the drop down menu when you hover over “Courses” in the menu bar. They are listed in the recommended order. You can also take a look at the schedule of in-person courses. They are scheduled based on recommended order.

Can the continuing education credits from the courses contribute to the 300 Hour Pathway, if I already have my 200 Hour Certificate?

It depends. All 300 hours must be completed within 1 school of yoga to receive a certificate and designation to be a 300 Hour (or 500 Hour) teacher. Our courses count as credits, but wouldn’t count as credits towards another schools 300 Hour Program. That being said, we will be launching our 300 Hour Program in (likely) early 2025. There will be required courses in our 300 Hour Program, but you will be able to use credits from all of our courses towards your 300 hours.
